About Nadia:
Practitioner of Yoga & Meditation for 25 years, Nadia’s sessions are mindfully created for both beginners & the advanced student alike. Offering a gentle & powerful practice with a focus on the breath – you can look forward to feeling relaxed, renewed & refreshed after her Hatha & Yin Yoga classes.
Nadia is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher & currently completing multiple continuing education courses, including trauma-informed, pranayama, prenatal & yin yoga teacher certifications. Yoga has been an essential part of Nadia’s self- healing practice since being introduced to breathwork (pranayama) during her first pregnancy & home-birth. Since then, time on the mat has helped her to find peace of mind, relieve pain & ease stress as a mother of seven children.
With a focus on deep healing & inner work, Nadia invites her students to connect with their unique frequency & vibration. Empowering them with the healing tools needed in these times to self-regulate through stress, anxiety & trauma. Exploring the practice of self-inquiry (svadyaya) Nadia incorporates short expressive writing sessions w/journaling prompts at the end of some of her classes, encouraging practitioners to inquire within.
Her background as a vocalist & musician merged with mindfulness offers a vibrational sound healing that is one of a kind. Singing bowls & tuning forks are used as well as the practice of Brahmari, a form of pranayama that uses the vocal chords to stimulate the pineal gland & vagus nerve to create a calming effect helping students balance the energies of the body, mind & spirit.
